MARRIED & ALONE Coaching

ARE YOU A HUSBAND THAT IS FEELING MARRIED AND ALONE?

Are you feeling like you're living like a roommate?

Do you feel like your wife is constantly creating distance or is using anger or silence to control you?

Is your wife not only withholding sex, but also withholding praise, love, and nonsexual intimacy?

If you're saying yes to the above questions, you may be asking yourself, "WHAT IS GOING ON?!"

Maybe you have done some research on intimacy anorexia or maybe this is something you're just finding out about as you're reading this right now.

According to Dr. Doug Weiss, the psychologist who coined the term Intimacy Anorexia, Intimacy Anorexia is defined as the active withholding of spiritual, emotional, and sexual intimacy from a partner or spouse.

As a husband married to an intimacy anorexic, you may feel like you're doing everything you can to establish intimacy to no avail. You work hard to provide for your family and share helpful tasks around the home. You make yourself sexually and emotionally available to your spouse. You share your feelings and you care about hers. But you're feeling alone. You feel like you're getting nothing or merely breadcrumbs in return. You don't feel like she's as invested or connected with you as you are with her. Maybe you've even communicated with her about these issues, but excuses follow or she blames you for her withholding behavior.

So what can you do?

Through our coaching sessions we will evaluate your situation and create a personal recovery and healing plan for you. You will learn how to set boundaries and heal, regardless of whether your wife commits to change or not.

I help?

I am certified in every program offered through the American Association for Sexual Addiction Therapy (AASAT) which has the only training to help intimacy anorexics and their spouses. While I am capable of working with you through your situation to develop effective strategies to communicate and set boundaries with your wife and move forward in healing, I can also help you rediscover parts of yourself that you may have neglected throughout your marriage or life.

As a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and Certified Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC) I can help you accomplish goals, build and strengthen personal relationships, rebuild confidence and self esteem, manage life transitions, reduce anxiety and self doubt, manage time effectively, and regain courage and take the lead!

My office is located at Heart to Heart Counseling Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado; however, I offer telephone options for those out of the state and country.
